Guess what! I'm still alive!!! Alive and trying to be as much productive as possible (on a scrapbook manner), but you know: Summer vacation, then Back to School... It is always something important happening! And September is a SUPER FREAKING BUSY month!! Like today: is my Husband's birthday (Happy Birthday, my love!), then I have my oldest birthday, our trip to Disney, my youngest birthday and a TON of photos to scrapbook... I'm tired already (LOL).
I made this LO a while ago, but today is a good day to share:
Just popped by to show some of the layouts I have done in the past few days... It's been a crazy busy summer, and guess what I will be doing today (Sunday!) all day long? NO, it is NOT scrapbooking... Yay for those of you who said WORKING (without getting overtime or hours bank. Lovely hun, working for free!)!!! And no, I'm not excited about it... :(
Anyway, here is my last creation:
I liked how colorful this one turned out... :) Everything from Studio Calico Boardwalk kit.
Thanks for stopping by and saying hi for this slave hard working girl here!
Yesterday was the launch of Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, a great blog with cool challenges and sketches (and PRIZES) that the amazingly talented Anne Pennington has put together to inspire us to scrap. And guess what, I was invited (OK, I was almost begging to be added) to be a Guest Designer on the launch of the blog!!! Can. You. Say. Really. Excited?!?! I sure can!!! It was great! And the entries of the other designers... To die for! Pure inspiration!!! Check it out => Our Launch Post.
Anyway, this is the challenge:
The challenge is to make a layout that tells us about your dream! In your layout incorporate any two of:
cloud
rainbow
kite, or
symbols of your dream – you can use a photo or drawing that is representative of your dream.
And here is my take:
It is amazing how this challenge fitted what I am living right now. This past week was my wedding anniversary, 9 freaking years together! And I caught myself thinking about all the choices I had made during this time and remembered how, when I was young and restless, that I used to say (Gosh, right now I can hear Axel Rose singing "Live and let Die" in my head, lol) I didn't want to get married or have kids, that I would be an independent woman focused on my career only... At that time, I didn't know that my greatest dream would be to have a great man by my side, have a house on a quiet neighborhood, two amazing kids running around the backyard and be able to put my family in front of anything else... Funny how things can change, specially inside ourselves!
I thought about sewing the page, but changed my mind in the end. But, for those of you who would like to try to incorporate sewing to your pages, here is my favorite video:
Finally a lovely spring day! The sun is shining, the temperatures are really nice and warm and it is a Friday right before a long weekend! Pure Bliss!!!
I should have told this here early, but I was so freaking out happy that I forgot. Last week I received a truly happy e-mail, guess what? Scrapbook Trends magazine picked one of my LOs to be published on their October 2011 issue!!! How cool is that for an e-mail? I'm in HEAVEN!
Now, I'll head outside and enjoy this sunny day (thankful for wireless network and notebooks right now!). See ya!
If you are Brazilian (or understand Portuguese) and loves Scrapbooking, you KNOW (and if you don't, I'm telling you right now) there is only one place to go to when you wanna talk about scrapbooking => Scrapbook Brasil
It's a great community online and now they are planning to add more people to this passion we all share. How? Easy => 1, 2, 3... Scrap! . This is an event that will teach us all some basics of the papercrafting art, and guess what, it's absolutely FREE!!!
